Ramadhan is the most wonderful month in Islam. Muslims worldwide observed this as a month of fasting and this annual observance is regarded as one of the Five Pillars of Islam. (Shahadaah, Salah, Ramadhan Fasting, Zakat, and Hajj pilgrimage)

Eid’l Fitr is celebrated on the 1st day of Shawwal, the 10th month of Islamic calendar (the first day after Ramadan) and it is one of the most important celebrations in Hijri Calendar since it is the new opening of life of Muslims all over the globe after worthful sacrifices and prayers in the Holy Month of R

The Nursing Department of Al Imam Abdulrahman Al Faisal Hospital, Riyadh, KSA celebrated hand in hand this Eid'l fitr participated by each area such as Male General ward, Female General ward, Operating Theatre (OR), Labor and Delivery department (LR/DR), Ob- Gyne ward, and Pediatric ward.

Each area showed their best in preparing the decorations which made each staffs fascinated & felt the importance of Eid.

The most important thing that has been valued in this event was the intercultural understanding of each and every one and further learning in understanding Islam- that whatever you may believe in, Muslim or non-Muslim, don’t guard yourself in learning and understanding Islam in the same way people extends understanding in your beliefs. AFTER ALL, ISLAM CAME FROM THE WORD SALAM MEANS PEACE, AND THE KEY TO PEACE IS TO UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER AND RESPECT ONE ANOTHER.
